Katy Perry and Russell Brand divorcing?
The only surprising about this development is that he’s the one who filed. Looks like he’s The One That Got Away, huh?

Suzanne Collins should legitimately think of releasing Peeta’s point of view.

Day 29: Your Favorite Thing About the Entire Series
Besides the character of Peeta, I’d say my favorite thing about the entire series is that it is relentless. It isn’t afraid to be real, to be violent, to be cruel. I like that it’s not this big, epic love story with this irritating love triangle that, in the end, is the only real thing you get from the story. The characters...

Day 28: Your Favorite Scene in Mockingjay
It’s a long shot, it’s suicide maybe, but I do the only thing I can think of. I lean in and kiss Peeta full on the mouth. His whole body starts shuddering, but I keep my lips pressed to his until I have to come up for air. My hands slide up his wrists to clasp his. “Don’t let him take you from me.”
Peeta’s panting hard as he fights the nightmares...

Day 27: Your Favorite Scene in Catching Fire
“Your family needs you, Katniss,” Peeta says.
My family. My mother. My sister. And my pretend cousin Gale. But Peeta’s intention is clear. That Gale really is my family, or will be one day, if I live. That I’ll marry him. So Peeta’s giving me his life and Gale at the same time. To let me know I shouldn’t ever have doubts about it. ...

Day 26: Your Favorite Scene in The Hunger Games
We both knew they have to have a victor.
Yes, they have to have a victor. Without a victor, the whole thing would blow up in the Gamemakers’ faces. They’d have failed the Capitol. Might possibly even be executed, slowly and painfully while the cameras broadcast it to eery screen in the country.
If Peeta and I were both to die, or...

Day 25: Your Dream Cast
I came into this series after the cast has already been selected, after I had seen the trailer and promotional stills. So it’s tough to have a cast for the main characters that have already been cast.
In a lot of ways, when I was reading, I saw Jennifer as Katniss, Josh as Peeta, Liam as Gale, Woody Harrelson as Haymitch, Lenny Kravitz as Cinna, Elizabeth Banks...

Day 17: The Worst Death
In terms of the way he died, it is, without a doubt, Cato.
It was almost literally hell on earth. It was brutal; violent, agonizing, drawn out, graphic. I hated Cato. And I felt so much more sadness by several other deaths. In terms of emotions, Cato wouldn’t grace the list. But the torture Cato endured, remembering that he, too, was just a kid, makes me sick.

Finnick Odair.
It seems like another predictable answer, and maybe it is. I didn’t particularly warm to him until he started yearning for Annie, started becoming more than just a superficial douche. You learn about his love, his struggles, his pain, and he becomes so much more than a pretty face. I learned to respect him for saving...

Day 13: A Character You Wish Had Died
Plutarch Heavensbee.
I never came to like him. I felt like, despite warning Katniss about the arena with his watch, there wasn’t really anything Plutarch did that didn’t irritate me. Besides, the way he constantly talked about the propos, the way he was so worried about taping the war to make them look good to the Districts really bothered me. I...

Day 11: Something You [Dislike] About The Hunger Games
I don’t hate anything about the series, but there are a few things that did bother me about them.
— I felt like Mockingjay had an issue with pacing. I felt like some parts were fairly rushed; parts I feel like should have been explained or shown more. And then there were other parts that seemed to drag just a little.

Day 10: Peeta or Gale
For Katniss? Peeta. Overall? Peeta.
Peeta. I love him. What he went through in all three novels makes my heart bleed for the kid. He is strong and courageous and smart and so so good. Everything he did, he did out of pure love, and he did them without expecting anything in return. He was happy to sacrifice himself if it meant Kat’s safety. And he also knew...

Soo soo soo sooo sooooooo many to choose from, and I started to do many from each book. So I’ll just settle for top three from each book:
THE HUNGER GAMES
And may the odds be ever in your favor.

Day 8: What Character Are You Most Like?
Hmm… You know, I think I am most like Delly Cartwright with a touch of Katniss Everdeen. I have always been deemed a “friendly” and “trusting” person, someone who tries to see the good in everyone. But I’m also like Katniss where I’ve become more cautious about who to trust as I learn more about people and the...

*SPOILERS FOR ALL THREE BOOKS* Day 7: A Scene That Made You Cry
THE HUNGER GAMES
I want to do something, right here, right now, to shame them, to make them accountable, to show the Capitol that whatever they do or force us to do there is a part of every tribute they can’t own. That Rue was more than a piece in their Games. And so am I.

Day 5: Your Favorite Fight/Battle Scene
I really got into the battle at the Cornucopia where Katniss, Cato, Clove and Thresh all meet for their particular bags in The Hunger Games. Day 4: A Character You Love That Everyone Hates
Haymitch Abernathy
I honestly don’t understand why people dislike Haymitch as much as they do. Yes, he’s a drunk. No, he didn’t tell Katniss or Peeta about the rebel plan. But he is a big reason why Katniss and Peeta didn’t die in the Hunger Games.
I love that even though he and Katniss never got along, they could read...

Day 3: A Character You [Dislike] That Everyone Loves
Effie Trinket
I don’t hate Effie. There are times, actually, when I warm up to her. But the woman is so egotistical and self-centered, she could only think what Kat and Peeta’s survival meant for her. Where at least the superficial prep team were heartbroken letting Katniss go, Effie’s grief seemed very shallow. And...

Tie: President Snow & [click the link to avoid Mockingjay spoilers]
It’s another obvious answer, one I’m sure bores anyone who bothers to read this. But it’s true. The man was a heinous murderer, and that’s not negated no matter what is revealed in the end. The fact that he carries out and glorifies the Games at all makes him...

Katniss Everdeen.
I know. I know. It feels almost like cheating. But if it makes you feel any better, I was about to put Peeta Mellark so…

I am officially obsessed with The Hunger Games.
My brother got me The Hunger Games for Christmas, and I finished it in a few hours. I can’t wait to get the sequels.
I’m a little devastated by the end of it because I love Peeta. But Katniss is the greatest heroine literature has had since Hermione Granger.
An amazing, heart-pounding, gripping read.
