30 Day ’90s-Early ’00s Challenge - DAY 1: BACKSTREET BOYS OR NSYNC? Why?

  • BACKSTREET BOYS

NSync was a fantastic group, and I have/love all of their albums. They had great songs and could dance/entertain their asses off. But Backstreet Boys was my first love; I have all of their albums, including the ones they continue to make today. And I feel like, as a whole, they are more vocally dynamic, and the talent comes from each and every member. All of the guys in NSync are talented, but a lot of the time, it was the JC and JT show. And while that was great, I’m glad Backstreet Boys utilize every member.  I do miss Kevin. Love BSB!

Day 30 – Looking Back On Your Answers, What Is Your All Time Favorite Song?

And here is the ultimatum. Well, I’m not giving an answer because there isn’t an answer. It’s sad though because this is such an anti-climactic ending.

Day 29 – What Song Would You Consider to Be the Title Track on Your Soundtrack of Life?

First of all, I love this question. It’s also a very hard question. Ultimately, I feel confident in choosing You’ll Never Walk Alone by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein III (1945) in the musical Carousel.

When you walk through a storm, keep your chin up high
And don’t be afraid of the dark
At the end of the storm is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark

Walk on through the wind, walk on through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart
And you’ll never walk alone
You’ll never walk alone

Life is full of obstacles and tragedies as well as triumphs and happiness. I have already seen a lot of both so far in my life. This song always resonates with me because I have so many blessings in my life and such a support system. I have the most wonderful, loving, supportive family a person could ever hope to have, and my true friends are my rocks. For the most part, I have never had to go through any hardships alone, nor have I lacked company when it came time to celebrate. I have always had people in my life who have my best interests at heart, who love me unconditionally. Likewise, I would do anything for them. I do anything and everything I can to make sure I am there to be as loving and supportive to them as they are to me, to love them conditionally…to make sure that they know that they will never walk alone.

Also…if anyone should ever feel hopeless, that life is too much to bear, I encourage you to listen to this song and then talk to someone. You are never alone.
